Not much of a challenge. All we need to do is rip everything up, lay a few tonnes of concrete; a tonne of patio slabs, 3 tonnes of hardcore and 4 tonnes of chippings. No problem.

Day 17 in the Big Brother house and the house mates have managed to dig a circular hole. This is never going to get done if we stand here taking pictures all day long (just one more for luck).

Decided to get some help. Say hello to Roger (Helen's dad, Trevor & Layla (middle) and Helen on the left. My job is to record the events. A difficult and challenging task that, with effort, I can manage.

Looking good. We've removed the turf; Dug three holes, and filled them in again. The sharp eyes will notice a pipe sticking out the centre of the middle circle!

Helen working hard mixing concrete. Only another couple of tonnes to go and she should be done. Time to read the paper and make her a cup of tea (must do my bit).

Getting close now. We've been working on this for 7 days, and only 1/2 a days work left (unfortunately this means shifting 4 tonnes of chippings from the front to the rear - time for another coffee).

It's done. 8 days of effort, over 20 tonnes of 'stuff' moved from (a) to (b), numerous blisters and gallons of tea and coffee. Oh, and Andrew with his fingers stuck in the water feature.

I thought you'd like the view from this side of the garden (direct comparison against the first picture). All we need now is a table, some chairs and a barbeque.

Thanks to Roger, Trevor, Layla and Dan for all their time and effort helping us create our garden.
